Hebrews 1:1-2
    "Verse 1.  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Verse 2.  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS SON."

    Jesus Christ was made a High Priest after the order of Melchizedek.

    Who was Melchizedek?
    Hebrews 7:1-3.
           Melchizedek was the King of Salem: which means King of Peace.  The name Melchizedek
    means, by interpretation, King of righteousness.  Melchizedek met Abraham one day when
    he, (Abraham), was returning from a slaughter of kings and blessed him; and Abraham gave a
    tenth of his spoils to him.  He was described as having no father nor mother and without
    descent (family history).  He had no beginning nor end of life.   He was made like the Son of
    God and remained a priest continuously.

    Christ's Priesthood vs the Levitical Priesthood
    The difference between Christ's Priesthood and the Levitical Priesthood is that His position is
    continuous—there is no end to it.  Everything that surrounds His priesthood is eternal and
    not temporal.  His blood was shed once and forever.  He intercedes for us forever.  He forgave
    our sins forever.  He reconciled us to God forever, and gave us free access to the presence of
    God so that, we can now come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to
    help in times of need.

    The Levitical Priesthood, on the other hand, was inadequate because the priest had to make
    atonement for his sins and the sins of the people.  The priests did not live forever.  The blood
    of bulls, doves, and goats were used and yearly sacrifices had to be repeated.  So God decided
    to send His only begotten Son who would eliminate all these imperfections and introduce a
    new and a better way for saving man.

    The Appearance of Christ
    Wherefore, more than two thousand years ago Jesus Christ left his throne and came into this
    world to die, be buried, and resurrected for all of us.  The Bible says He is from the seed of
    David and that He was declared by the Spirit of Holiness to be the son of God by His
    resurrection from the dead.  He's an extraordinary man with extraordinary qualities, and is full
    of mercy and compassion for all of us.

    While He was dying on the cross, He took time to save a criminal who asked for His mercy.
    While they were crucifying Him, He took time to ask His Father to forgive them because they
    did not know what they were doing; and during His years on earth, He showed unending
    kindness and compassion toward the weak, the sick, the hungry, the rejected; and performed
    many miracles.

    More details of His Miracles and Kindness
    He healed lepers.  He healed the Centurion's servant.  He healed Peter's mother-in-law.   He
    quieted a storm.  He cast out demons from men.  He healed the paralyzed.  He opened the
    eyes of the blind. He made the dumb speak.  He walked on water.  He raised the dead.  He fed
    the hungry.  He preached to the poor.  He sat with sinners.  He told people about their lives.
    He gave instructions to live righteously.  There is no problem that is too big for him.  He is the cure for all--the panacea; and there is nothing that is too difficult for Him.

        Repent and be Saved!
        Today, He's sitting at the right hand of God calling to men everywhere to repent and be  saved! or face the consequences: HELL AND DESTRUCTION.

        Hell and Destruction.
        Matthew 13:37-43  (The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares, Matt. 13: 24-30) explained by Jesus.
        Verse 37.  He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
        Verse 38.  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
        Verse 39.  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
        Verse 40.  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
        Verse 41.  The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do inquity;
        Verse 42.  And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
        Verse 43.  Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.  Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

            Invitation
            Brothers and sisters, you will not be able to have a change of heart when you get to HELL.  It will be too late.  Accept Jesus now.  Hell is real.  Hell is eternal.  Hell is a place of eternal death.  Hell is a place without God.  Hell is a place of wailing and gnashing of teeth--a place of excrutiating pain.  Hell is a place of the second death.  I don't know about you, but the thought of living without God makes me quaver; and it should make you, too.  The Bible says that the devils know that there is a God and they tremble.  We must always give to God the respect and reverential fear that is due Him.

            Repent,  and give your life to Jesus today if you haven't done so yet because He still has the power to save lives!

            How Do You Get Saved?
            Romans 10:9-10.

            "Verse 9.   That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
            Verse 10.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
