I was invited to a ministers' conference, and the Lord instructed me about their teachings. It was November 15, 2005, at 3:53 AM, when the Spirit of the Lord came to me and took me to the word of God; and spoke to me about the teachings.
I Timothy 1:3-4
"Verse 3. As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into
Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine.
Verse 4. Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister
questions, (cause disputes), rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do."
We can see that Paul wrote this letter to Timothy when he (Paul) was in prison, so that he (Timothy) would not turn from the doctrine of the Lord Jesus Christ. Please note this:
Acts 9:4. "And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?"
PAUL ON HIS WAY TO DAMASCUS
Jesus appeared to Paul when he was on his way to Damascus. His name was still Saul at the time. Jesus met Paul with his mighty power and converted him to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. This delivered him from false doctrine, so Paul knows that there are messages out there, which are not in line with the gospel of Jesus Christ. His experience is what caused him to write the letter of warning to Timothy. This tells ministers that we need to be very careful of doctrines that do not stand on God’s word, and, which do not show us God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
I Timothy 1:5-7.
"Verse 5. Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned.
Verse 6. From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling.
Verse 7. Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm."
WATCH AND BE CAREFUL!
Believers, we need to watch as well as be careful. This word of God is real. Let's look further into the word of God.
I Timothy 1:9-11.
"Verse 9. Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers.
Verse 10. For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine.
Verse 11. According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust."
We need to understand that we were called to the genuine gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ; and that we must walk in it; and be careful of fables. We should not tell people about any other gospel but the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We should not tell them what they want to hear, but we should emulate Prophet Micaiah, who stood on the word of God; and did not give the word of God for food and money, which is a bait from satan in order to take away the vision of God from us.
I Kings 22:23. "Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee."
If we are not careful, the devil will begin to talk to us; and we will believe his messages and see them as messages from God. We need to stand on the truthful word of God at all times.
I Timothy 4:1-2.
"Verse 1. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Verse 2. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron."
This tells us that ministers are now hearing from demons and deceiving spirits because their consciences are dead. We need to learn from this.
COMMAND
I Timothy 1:18. "This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare."
God has called us to stand in warfare, by us praying against the kingdom of satan, so that the children of God might be able to get their freedom from deceiving spirits.
I Timothy 4:6,9.
"Verse 6. If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine."
"Verse 9. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation."
Apostle O. B. Michael
